Privacy Policy

Basic Electronics is an educational app for learning electronics, practicing quizzes, using calculators and simulators, viewing learning media, and contacting support. This policy explains the information the app may process when those features are used.

1. Information you choose to provide

• Account information: name, email address, password hash, and an optional profile image when you create an account.
• Support and feedback: messages, lesson ratings, feedback text, chat attachments, and related lesson identifiers that you submit.
• Learning activity: quiz attempts, scores, progress, and other account-linked learning records when progress-sync features are enabled.

2. Information collected automatically

• App/device information: an app-installation/device identifier used for security, rate limiting, feedback troubleshooting, and support context; app version and basic technical metadata may also be processed.
• Country: the app records a country automatically for account records. When available, the server prefers trusted hosting/network country headers; otherwise the Android device locale country may be used. Users do not type this field manually.
• Network/security data: request timestamps, signatures, and limited server logs required to protect the API and diagnose failures.

3. How information is used

Information is used to provide accounts and login, synchronize learning progress, operate quizzes and premium/rewarded access, answer support requests, improve lessons, prevent abuse, keep the service secure, and maintain the Android app and backend.

4. Advertising, billing and notifications

The app may use Google Mobile Ads for banner, interstitial, rewarded, rewarded-interstitial or app-open advertising when enabled by the administrator. Standard rewarded ads may be used to unlock a specific premium learning card for one open after the reward is earned; they do not create a timed ad-free session. If paid plans are enabled, Google Play Billing may process purchases; payment-card details are handled by Google Play rather than this app. Push notifications may be delivered through OneSignal when that feature is enabled and permission is granted.

5. Third-party services and links

Some features may open Google Play, WhatsApp, external lesson links, or other third-party services. Their own privacy policies apply when you leave Basic Electronics or interact with their services.

6. Storage and retention

Account, progress, feedback and support records are kept only as long as reasonably needed to operate the service, meet security requirements, resolve support issues, or satisfy applicable obligations. Administrators can remove records through the dashboard where supported.

7. Your choices

You may use public learning material without an account where the app permits it. Signed-in users can update their profile information and password. You can decline optional notification permissions, skip rewarded-ad offers, and choose not to use chat or feedback features. Account/data-deletion options are available through the app or the configured data-deletion page when enabled.

8. Security

API requests use authentication/signature controls and sensitive configuration is not shown in learner-facing error messages. No internet service can guarantee absolute security, so users should keep account credentials private and avoid sending sensitive personal information through support chat.

9. Educational use

Basic Electronics is designed for learning. Avoid entering unnecessary personal or confidential information into calculators, lesson forms, feedback, or support messages.

10. Changes to this policy

This policy may be updated when app features, service providers, or legal requirements change. The latest version shown in the app/admin dashboard applies from its displayed update date.
